This unit started out as a factory painted Union Pacific SD45T-2 from Athearn. I dismantled the model. I then added Detail Associates eyebolts, cut bars, MU recepticles antennas, MU hoses, spare knuckles to the rear pilot faces , 206 plows, speed recorders, fabricated sanding lines and truck air lines. Also added were windshield wipers from Detail Associates.
The frame was modified to allow operating ditchlights and associated wiring to pass through. ProColor SCL light gray was a close match to the Athearn paint and was used to touch up the added parts. The model was reclearcoated to protect the new paint and to blend all of the paint in. From there the model was reassembled and tested.
