CNW 6024 SD45T-2 from an Athearn RTR model

This is obviously a fantasy model. CNW never had any SD45T-2's, but maybe they purchased a few remanufactured units in the late 1980's or early 1990's to supplement existing motive power.
The model itself is a stripped Athearn ready to roll Kansas City Southern model. I started by adding new cut bars, MU hoses, a new plow, a gong bell, lift rings, air lines, a speed recorder and other details.
After a thorough abrasive blasting, everything was washed and dried. Paint consisted of Floquil primer, Scalecoat II white, Testor's Model Master Cadnium Yellow and Model Master Japanese Imperial Navy Green. The black is Floquil engine black. The walkways are painted antiskid black, which is a mix of Floquil engine black, grimy black and primer mixed until it looked right. The grilles were masked and backfilled with Floquil grimy black. The decals are a combination of Microscale and the clearcoat is part Testor's glosscoat and part Testors Dullcoat.
