Chicago and North Western GP40 5532 from an Atlas model.
This unit is a factory painted Atlas GP40 in CNW old yellow that I reworked. I added prototype specific details
such as the correct antennas, speed recorders, new plows, chopped in the nose bells, rebuilt the pilot faces to better
match the prototype including adding spare knuckles, modified cut bars, and relocated the MU hoses. ACI shoes were added where appropriate.
Paint was matched using Scalecoat II CNW green and Polyscale CNW yellow for where the nosebell was chopped in. The sideframes/fuel tank were painted with
Floquil engine black. New numberboard decals and road number
decals were added, along with other decals. All decals were Microscale. Unit was semiglossed with Testors dullcoat and glosscoat. Reassembled with Kadee #58 scale couplers.
